ブータン土産のチリソース

 ブータンの土産でいただいたチリソース、Dalle (Fireball Chilli), 思い出して封を切ってみた。激辛だが旨い辛さ!




The Dalle chilli, also known as Fireball chilli or Dalle Khursani, is a very hot, scarlet red, round cherry pepper grown in the Himalayan regions of Sikkim, Nepal, and Darjeeling HillsIt's popular for its intense heat, unique aroma, and flavor, which can be used to add zest to meals or in pickles. 
Key Characteristics
  • Appearance:
    Dalle chillies are perfectly round and turn a bright scarlet red when mature. 
  • Heat:
    They are considered one of the hottest chilies in the world, with a heat level ranging from 100,000 to 350,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). 
  • Origin:
    They are native to the Himalayan regions, particularly Sikkim, the Darjeeling Hills, and Nepal. 
  • Names:
    Besides Fireball chilli and Dalle Khursani, they are also known as Akabare Khursani or Jyanmaara Khursani in Nepal, which translates to "Life-taker chilli". 
Culinary Use 
  • The Dalle chilli is a beloved condiment, often served with rice or used in pickles. 
  • Its intense flavor and aroma enhance many dishes. 
Nutritional and Medicinal Value 
  • Dalle chillies are rich in Vitamins A, C, and E, as well as minerals like potassium, magnesium, and niacin. 
  • They also possess anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. 
  • They are beneficial for digestion, pain relief, and metabolism.
